Rob Block is an extraordinary Chicago Jazz Guitarist, Chicago Jazz Pianist, composer/arranger and educator. Rob is one of the most proficient and well known Chicago jazz
guitarists on the Chicago music scene. As a pianist, Block has made an impact on both the Jazz and Latin Jazz music scenes
including both Brazilian Jazz and Afro-Cuban Jazz. In the process, he has become so proficient at the keyboard that
some knowledgeable jazz fans—if forced to choose—would opt for his adventurous piano playing over his dexterous
guitar work. Rob can be found all over Chicago playing guitar and piano in his own bands, and as a sideman with some of Chicago's
legendary Jazz Instrumentalists and Vocalists.
